Here is the news of this guide. It includes the history of the guide, and also includes news of the most recent updates. This is here for not only you, but also for the creators of the guide so they don't forget what the heck it was they just did. Remember, much of this guide was written in the wee hours of the morning. The memory starts to leave you at about 4am or so. If you see two of the same dates it just means that both of those were seperate uploads.
Monday, July 26, 1999 - Well, after another long break with no work on the guide, I got bored at around 4 in the morning and began work on the clients page. I changed a few things around here and there, but mainly just began working on the clients page. Not much is there at the moment, but at least there's a start.
Thursday, July 15, 1999 - I have been on vacation now for some time. I have a job now too. The guide has been suffering because of this. However, I am proud to announce that the hitchhiker has finally quadded, after around 1300 hours of work. I made some minor updates to the page. Realized that the download link I had for DerekWare led to an empty file. Got that fixed. Should be putting more time into the guide very soon though.
Friday, June 18, 1999 - Made a few minor changes. Tried to cut back on working on this thing today. Figured it'd be good for my health.

Thursday, June 17, 1999 - I have just realized, at around 4:30 in the morning, that this guide is going to kill me before I get it finished. I updated the Newbie Info section on the Misc page. I also added the newbie equipment page. I also spent around 4 and a half to 5 hours creating the basic eq page. Please visit it by clicking here, and take a look so I know that all that time was not wasted. I also finally got the index page working thanks to the people at XOOM.com. A little javascript did the trick.
Wednesday, June 16, 1999 - I have found bravenet.com and have started using many of their utilities. I got the message board up and the guestbook up. I also made a change to the bravenet counter, just because it looks cooler.
Wednesday, June 16, 1999 - Well, after getting some rest, it's evening now. I did a major update on the Miscellaneous page. I added some of the newbie pages. I found out how long it takes to find the pages, then convert them to the format of the guide. Please, check it out. I spent too much time for you not to.
Wednesday, June 16, 1999 - It's even earlier in the morning, but I couldn't stop working. I added the Miscellaneous page and did some more minor changes on other pages. The Misc. page has a lot of different things on it that should keep me busy for a while. However, it's time to go to bed now.

Tuesday, June 15, 1999 - Added the about pages and also added the book page. In case you haven't noticed, neither of these pages require much work. Like I said, I'm still trying to hero. This guide has become more of a hobby for now. I will be doing a major upload on zones and clan fairly soon I hope.
Friday, June 11, 1999 - Well, work on this will start to slow down until I can hero. I am currently co-leader of a semi-failing clan. I feel that heroing is fairly important. I am going to be xping like mad for a little while. So, unfortunately, work on this will not be as consistant as I would like. Fortunately it shouldn't take me too long to reach hero status considering that school just got out yesterday.

Tuesday, June 08, 1999 - Have been working on the guide quite a bit lately. Maps became a pain in the butt so I decided to get the equipment page up and running. Hence: It is so. In case you have no idea what that just said: I added the equipment page.
Thursday, June 03, 1999 - Began working on revamping maps. I have decided that the zMUD map editor is the best one for the job. So far, Atlantis and Trellor are just about finished, I should be uploading them tomorrow with a bit of work.

Tuesday, June 01, 1999 - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Medievia has now been oficially uploaded on to the internet! Sure, there isn't much now, but just wait. It has now become more than just scribblings on pieces of paper. The creator actually decided to sit down and start making the guide for everyone to enjoy.
